Nativity...

Hey what is up everybody!! This week was pretty good! We spent a lot of time this week inviting people to the Nativity that happened over this weekend. We went around to a lot of less actives, former investigators and part member families with cookies and an invitation to the Nativity. The cookies was an idea from one of the members in the ward (sister Bradshaw) and she provided us with cookie dough as well which was super clutch. And people were a lot more friendly to us when we had cookies in our hand hahah.

Also got into a super bad Bible bash this week, it was just with some guy who was doing some work out in the front lawn. It just started out us asking him if he needed help with anything, and 45 minutes later the guy was reciting all these scriptures on the trinity while I told him to explain Acts 7:55-56 if the trinity was true. I was so mad from bashing that I just turned to Elder Snyder and said we were leaving and left without saying anything else to the guy. It was not a very good example of me to get into the bash first of all but it was pretty funny now looking back at it. I have learned that bashes aren't worth it tho, they aren't actually going to take anything to heart they just want to prove that they are right and you are wrong.

We finally got in to teach Richard Rodriguez. We had our first lesson with him and his family on Friday! We are super stoked about them, this will be both of our first time teaching a family of all non members and I am really excited to see where it goes!

Went on another blitz in Lake Skinner this week. And dang I feel bad for the Lake Skinner Elders (Cattich and Barbour) the people there are never home, and when they answer the door they are either already faithful to their church or they are just really mean. We get to do a lot with the Lake Skinner Elders tho because we are in the same apartment complex, and they don't have a car so we get to drive them everywhere and we email together and if we don't have a dinner we usually go out and eat together (usually Buffalo Wild Wings).

We went to the Nativity on Saturday and it was WAY GOOD!! These people go all out! it was just a straight up musical that had like crazy good singers and it was super spiritual, it was a bummer all our investigators flaked out on us, because if they went they would want to get baptized for sure haha.

Other than that not much else crazy happened.

 Love you all!! Elder Shields

Don't have any pics from this week so here's some from the MTC :)
