General Conference...

Hey, Hey Hey,

I forgot to tell you guys about general conference last weekend!! It was honestly such a spiritual experience for me! I got so much more out of it than I usually do because this time I was actively listening and taking notes for every session and it was so worth it! We watched most of the sessions and the stake center, but we did watch the priesthood session at a members house, the Stefls are their names. And it was cool because they just had their youngest son leave on a mission so this would have been the first time the dad had watched general conference without his son in a while so it was cool that we were able to be there with him.

We were able to meet with Bridget again finally and we had a really good lesson, we talked with her about faith and talked about Alma 32 with her then she asked for some scriptures we could share with her on resisting temptations she has and we shared Moses 1:13 with her, and it helped her a lot!

We haven't been able to get back into contact with Shealee lately which is pretty frustrating. The Bishop was supposed to get into contact with the mom and talk with her and find her standing on everything so we could find the best approach, but he wasn't able to this week.

We had a trainer follow up meeting this week and that was pretty fun. We did like an hour of role plays tho, where I practiced teaching the Restoration and Plan of Salvation over and over again and getting evaluated by the trainers of other people's greenies. My mouth was getting dry because I had to talk so much haha but it was super helpful.

Me and Elder Mann have decided to increase our efforts in working with the members of the ward to do missionary work. We decided that we should set up times to meet with members and set missionary minded goals with them and find ways we can help them and then follow up with them (thanks Sarah for all the ideas! they really have worked). The first family we set goals with, the Garcias (who we had dinner with), we asked what things they could do to be increase their missionary efforts. To which they responded, we have a family who lives next to us and we're pretty sure they are ready to hear the gospel so let's try and set up a time where we can all have dinner together and then you could teach them! So we are working with them to find a time we can teach that family! Pretty sure that was the Lord telling us that working with the members is the way the work in this ward should be done! We have met with several other families and set goals with them, most of the goals have been to invite families and friends to the Halloween trunk or treat thing the ward is doing. So hopefully we get a good turnout of non members and less actives at that activity!

Love you guys!
