The Fourth Missionary...
Hello, so all day P day was straight up so baller!!! Got a sweet deal on bowling cuz we went in the middle of the day and there was like 30 of us so we got a group deal, and then we got to just go to the church building eat Hawaiian food that was catered to us because of a member in the Murrieta stake, and play ping pong and basketball and just to whatever. I only watched some of the Saratov Approach, because I was much more interested in playing around the world or dynamite haha.
So we taught Shaelee again and she said that if it is okay with her parents that she would want to be baptized!! but the mom isn't too thrilled about it she was pretty cold to us after that and she cancelled our appointment with them for this upcoming week, so from now on when working with them we just need to take it very slow, but it's good to know that that is something that Shaelee wants for sure.
We have an appointment with Bridget on Tuesday, and plzzz pray that it doesn't fall through again hahah.
So Elder L. Whitney Clayton is coming to our mission on Nov 15-16 (I will see him on the 16) and he is mainly going to talk with us about the Book of Mormon apparently. So in preparation for that our zone is doing BoM challenge. So each companionship set a goal for how many BoMs we would Pass out in 3 weeks. Me and Elder Mann set 12 as our goal. And since we were allowed to get the help of the members that is a lot of what we have been doing recently is inviting members to pass out BoMs. And through our own efforts and with the help of the members we reached our goal in 2 weeks! So we will hopefully we will surpass it by at least 6 or 7, because Sunday the 12 is the last day of the challenge!
There was a missionary who was from our ward who got back from his mission on Wednesday, his name is Matt Bradshaw (same who we did service for, and who had the other son my age that just left for his mission). And we got to talk to him on Thursday and he is such a solid guy, he gave us a ton of good advice and he is so motivated to do missionary work in this ward, he says he wants to go out with us as much as possible and he made a list of people who he knew before that he wants us to stop by with him. He also gave us two of his favorite talks from his mission. One is called "The Fourth Missionary" and the other is called "Becoming a Consecrated Missionary." I read both of them and I am honestly so motivated to be the becoming the fourth missionary! (read the talk to understand) since I have read it I have made sure to talk to everyone that the Lord puts in my path and even tho most of them don't want to listen I can feel more confident in myself that I am doing everything in my power to become a true disciple of Christ!! This work is awesome! I love being a part of it!
